Q: What is your age?
S: 58
Q: How long have you been part of our Core fam?
S: 6 years
Q: Did you have any concerns about CrossFit before you began?
S: Oh yes! Especially at my age, I was 52 when I started. I had heard how dangerous it was and how easily you could injure yourself.
Q: What made you give The Core a try?
S: I was doing a boot camp and it was becoming monotonous and I wasn’t enjoying myself any longer. I knew a couple of people that worked out at The Core and they encouraged me to give it a try.
Q: What do you love the most about being a part of The Core?
S: Soooo many things, but mostly the people. The workouts are always different, the other athletes are super encouraging and we , hands down, have the best coaches. We also learn so much about nutrition and it’s a constant challenge if you want it to be.
Q: What is your favorite CrossFit movement/element?
S: Deadlift and Power Cleans
Q: What is your least favorite CrossFit movement/element?
S: Doubles and handstands, that’s because I still struggle with them.
Q: What is your CrossFit/health goal this coming year?
S: I know at my age there is a chance I can’t get any stronger BUT there’s a chance I can! I would love to get a few gold stars next year.
Q: Anything extra you want to share?
S: I wish everyone could find a place like The Core. It can change so many things, your health, your head, your posture and how you feel about yourself and you get to meet such cool people along the way.
